Introduction

The first two Skin Metabolism Meetings took place in Edinburgh, Scotland, 2011 and Valbonne France, 2013 and were both very successful. These meetings showed that this exciting scientific domain is highly relevant for chemical, cosmetic and pharmaceutical applications and allowed new scientific collaborations to be formed.

In order to maintain such collaborations and to increase the number of community members and students, LEO Pharma, L’Oréal, Charles River and University of Sunderland have joined together to co-organize this third meeting under the aegis of the DMDG, with contributions to preparation of the scientific program from Nestlé Skin Health, Bayer, Unilever, Pierre-Fabre, University of Newcastle and University of Strasbourg. The meeting will take place on 27th-29th November 2017 at the University of Sunderland, UK, with the use of a brand new conference facility.

The conference program covers six scientific sessions which will be kicked-off by an introductory lecture about the past and future of skin metabolism.

  2. Impact of skin metabolism on skin pharmacokinetics

  3. Drug transporters in the skin

  4. Illustration of studies in the skin metabolism field

  5. Which models can be used to study skin metabolism

  6. Novel analytical techniques for imaging drugs and metabolites in the skin

  • Poster session including a poster blitz

  • Related trade exhibition

  • Welcome reception and conference dinner for all

Call for posters
Abstracts for poster presentation are invited and the closing date is 31st October.
abstracts should be: arial, 10, black font, aligned to left of page, max. 100 words
Poster abstracts should be sent to info@dmdg.org, with a copy to EDI-DermalServicesEvent@crl.com.
Posters are displayed throughout the meeting.
