The first two Skin Metabolism Meetings took place in Edinburgh, Scotland, 2011 and Valbonne France, 2013 and were both very successful. These meetings showed that this exciting scientific domain is highly relevant for chemical, cosmetic and pharmaceutical applications and allowed new scientific collaborations to be formed. In order to maintain such collaborations and to increase the number of community members and students, LEO Pharma, L’Oréal, Charles River and University of Sunderland have joined together to co-organize this third meeting under the aegis of the DMDG, with contributions to preparation of the scientific program from Nestlé Skin Health, Bayer, Unilever, Pierre-Fabre, University of Newcastle and University of Strasbourg. The meeting will take place on 27th-29th November 2017 at the University of Sunderland, UK, with the use of a brand new conference facility. The conference program covers six scientific sessions which will be kicked-off by an introductory lecture about the past and future of skin metabolism. The meeting includes:
